Be A Group Facilitator

want to be a facilitator

Thanks so much for your interest in facilitating a Love God Greatly group!

What is a Love God Greatly Group Facilitator?

A LGG Group Facilitator is a committed follower of Jesus who has a passion for seeing women get into God’s Word! A facilitator is not only responsible for forming a group, but for keeping it going. Facilitators are faithful encouragers who can commit to at least the time-frame of the current LGG session. While all group members keep each other accountable in Bible reading, your group members will look to YOU as their facilitator for consistency in communicating, and as a resource for study information. One facilitator summed up her ‘job’ like this:

“I share. I encourage. I pray.”

We ask that all LGG Facilitators agree with the LGG Statement of Belief.

There are several ways to become a facilitator:

1. One option is to become familiar with LGG as a group member first, and then participate in our Leadership Mentoring program that takes place during the last two weeks of each main LGG study (see more information on Leadership Mentoring below). After participating in the Leadership Mentoring program, you will be ready to start and lead a group of your own. You can find more information about joining a group here.

2. Another option is to jump right in and start a group of your own! The LGG Leader’s Guide and LGG Facilitator’s Group on Facebook are super resources designed to walk you through those initial steps of setting up and running a LGG group of your own. We’re here to help you get started!

3. If you decide to start a group immediately but still desire to be mentored as a facilitator, you are welcome to enroll in the Leadership Mentoring Program that is offered twice each year. Watch our blog for updated information about this amazing program!

More on our LGG Leadership Mentoring Program…

The LGG Leadership Mentoring Program pairs you, a prospective new facilitator, in a group with an experienced LGG facilitator for a two week study on how God used the lives of willing women in Bible times. The study itself is intended to encourage you spiritually to be ready to lead.

You will also be practically equipped, as your Mentor Facilitator will post about topics that are relevant to facilitating a LGG group. Some of these topics are covered in the Leader’s Guide, but the extra interaction and advice from an experienced facilitator is invaluable!

Participating in a group with other new facilitators also helps you build friendships within the LGG community. When you join the LGG Leaders Group, you will already be connected with other women through the Mentoring Program!

Our experienced Mentor Facilitators are wonderful women of God from all walks of life. They have hearts to see women grow closer to God through His Word! They have each facilitated multiple sessions with LGG and have experienced many different situations in their groups. They feel called by God to help equip you to be the best facilitator that you can be!
